Former Malibu resident Byron Page passed away at the age of 71 on Jan. 6, in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Page, who was born in Tacoma, Wash. on June 11, 1942, was the son of Maxwell Page and Frieda Rehn. The family moved to Astoria, Ore. in 1952. He is survived by his brother, Colin Page of Portland, Ore.
Page lived in Hollywood and Malibu where he met many good and lasting friends. He returned to Oregon to live.
Missing the sun and warmth of California, Page moved to Palm Springs/Rancho Mirage for his last years. His constant companions for the past few years were his dogs, John and London.
A memorial service will take place in Malibu in February and a celebration of life will take place in Astoria in the spring.
