This month’s Caffeinated Verse took place at Malibu City Hall on Saturday morning, featuring poetry from Malibu community members.

The event was led by Malibu Poet Laureate Ellen Reich.

Caffeinated Verse is a poetry series that serves as a gathering place for adult poets to share their work, with caffeine provided by Friends of the Malibu Library.

The event began as a three-month series in 2018 hosted by then-Poet Laureate Ricardo Means Ybarra. This year’s series continues into the fall on the first Saturday of every month. The next Caffeinated Verse will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at the Malibu Library.
