Malibu middle and high school students showed off their musical talents at a variety talent show on Saturday, helping to raise money for local public schools through the district’s new Malibu fundraising arm, Malibu LEAD.

Sponsored by Malibu Arts Angels, the program featured wine and hors d’oeuvres followed by a stacked program of performances by talented singers, musicians and musical groups.

The show was headlined by its master of ceremonies, local comedic legend, the talented actor and singer Dick Van Dyke, who entertained the crowd in a rare public engagement. Van Dyke volunteered his time on stage to help the effort to sponsor art programming at Malibu High School and Malibu Middle School.
