This year’s Citizen-ship Award recipient from Point Dume Marine Science School is fifth grade student Noa Walters. According to her nomination, Walters shows a tremendous amount of patience, kindness, fairness, honesty and responsibility. As the student council president, she helps run the weekly meetings and is known to go out of her way to help her younger peers feel included in activities. She is known to encourage student participation and communicates effectively with their representatives, advisors and her principal.

“Besides helping run the student council, she has been a huge part of renaming the school and voicing her opinions,” her nomination stated. Her teacher, Christine Cullen, is proud to acknowledge Walters’ leadership and academic achievements this year and looks forward to her new endeavors.
